Same shape, new era – Paragon 1940s

Did you see the Regency cup I posted about yesterday? That shape was picked up about 100 years later by Paragon, who created this cup in the 1940s. A traditional Regency cup with bright, modern-looking blue bands, yet with little pink roses that are as traditional as you can think of. A beautiful example of the post-war fashion of a mix of old and new – satisfying the desire to restore normality and tradition, yet starting a new era.
